Esther 1: 1-10; Esther 2: 2-3, 8-9, 15; Acts 8: 27
Eunuchs first have
relationship with God, know Him, His terms and conditions before He could
commit Himself into their hands so that they could carry out His orders,
commandments and instructions. They were made in the secret. We only heard
about them (their names) after they yielded to the King as servants and not
during the process of their castration.
Each of the seven
eunuchs attached to Vashti had a role to play and I sense that they were actually
to make her up for those seven days she seem to be away from the king so that
nothing is lacking or has diminished or reduced her beauty if she will appear
before the King. They dished out the
kings commands and served in His presence (vs 10). Eunuchs are in
charge of the treasure of God (Acts 8:27). They are not found in common places,
always in the King’s palace, or living with their captors like Hegai and the
other seven eunuchs in king Ahasuerus palace in the book of Esther.
God wants us (sisters
and brothers) to be His witnesses in these last days. He is not a tyrant, He
does not compel anyone, rich in blessings, seeking those who will bear His mind
to the dying world. He is not in need of resources but He is in need of
available, yielded lives, who are totally sold out to Him to bring, make ready
the ones He died for.
Matthew 19: 11 -
12
11 But He said to them, “All cannot accept
this saying, but only those to
whom it has been given: 12 For there are eunuchs who were born thus
from their mother’s womb, and there are
eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and
there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s
sake. He who is able
to accept it, let him accept it.”
Castration means
the total removal of reproductive organs. To be eunuch means that such an
individual has become castrated and incapable of reproducing his or her own
kind. The tyrants or captors castrate their captives involuntarily. But some
offender prefer castration in the days of old than imprisonment.
A castrated person
cannot reproduce his or her own kind. It is no longer possible. They no longer
have interest of their own, totally spend and spent for the Lord. We may not be
loved and not be attractive but our joy and consolation is that we also want to
be witnesses for the Lord.
In God’s
Kingdom, the royal estate, to be a eunuch is voluntary. It is unto the Lord.
Eunuchs are very few when compared to the number of Christians, church goers,
let alone the world populace. They have become indeed captives of the Lord.
Their living is only for Jesus - seeking to please the Master only. 2 Corinthians
12:15 New King James Version (NKJV)
15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent
for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.
There is need for
a balance relationship as witnesses for the Lord. I must be alert to hear Him
speak to me and also willing to labour over others in order to bring them to
the conformity of the image of Christ and also save souls. Jesus remains our
focus. He is actually the first eunuch – who left all in order to save the
perishing world and keep His own bride. He reconciled me and you to the Father.
He remains in constant communion with the Father and also with men. What Jesus
has not done, He does not tell us to do. It is beyond personal interest of
earthly marriage, it is consecration for the Kingdom Labour like John, Paul
etc. If I will affect the bride of Christ (the queens - Esthers’ Vahstis’)
concubines, the Pharisees, Sadducees, the perishing souls, the body of Christ
through witnessing,
I must seek to become eunuch for the Lord. It
is individual, it is personal. Some could have given up along the line and
could not continue with the castration. The Eunuch are witnesses for the King
they served. They dish out instructions and obey. They have become consecrated
to the Lord and to the people brides,
queens they serve.
The functions of
eunuchs are to bring the Vashtis’, queens. Their weaknesses has become strength
for them to labour for the Lord. Their natural phenomenon for the attraction of
women (and probably the women’s properties), their ego, headship, their family
have become forgotten. They are now dead to their own ways or wishes. They have
actually come to a point of no return to labour and serve the King until the
end of their lives. They have forgotten their own people and family, left all
in order to serve the Master and be His true witness. They have no house of
their own, they have become sold out to the Master.
Characteristics of
eunuch Rulers are (relay messages, intermediary, faithful, spent and spend for
the king. Witnesses are intermediary between God and man. They
relay messages. Their connection with God is not toiled with and also with the
lives given to them.
My response to
God in prayer:
ØLord
please let my heart comprehend and accept this offering of consecration You are
proposing to me for the sake of Kingdom of heaven, my own life and souls of men
(the bride).
ØIt
is voluntary in God’s kingdom, but let my response be non-negotiable, consecrate me for Your
labour. Lord castrate me for Your glory.
ØLord
I yield my neck voluntarily to this consecration (personal discipleship,
discipleship relationship with disciplers and disciples,) in order to be Your
witness Lord
I also want to be eunuch for Thee - occupied with and for Thee.
ØMy
Lord please interrupt me in a definite way. Affect my heart, appetite, sleep,
ambition etc. in a definite way.
ØLet
me continually hear You speak to me, and be prompt to all the instructions You
are giving me. Count me in by grace divine to be obedient and relay Your mind
without delay to the bride, be it the Vashtis, Esthers, or the concubines.
ØLet
me not seek my own gain as Your witness to the queens and concubines.
ØLet
there be no trace of me. Emptied, evacuated of worldliness, gains, pleasures,
emotional attractions and that it will resonate in me that I don’t even have
anything to offer any man except Jesus, the only message, gift in committing
these precious ones into my hands.
ØFather
let me only seek to show Christ only to the brides and concubines.

Lord Jesus, let Your labour over my life
bring me closer to the You and the Father.

Let the beauty of the Lord rest on
the church (bride) again in our days.
·
Lord let me be full of compassion for the
souls of men and the church everyday.
·
Let me bear Your mind only, no show, no ostentation,
nothing but Christ.
·
Lord let me be set apart like the eunuchs
to bring your instructions to your children, daughters, and sons. Lord may Your
words in our mouth be very sharp and come with great convictions. Hegai means meditation; word; groaning;
separation.
·
Let me not fail You as a custodian
of Your treasure on earth.
I accept to be eunuch for the kingdom of
heaven’s sake – Amen!
