ü V1-4. The
ministry of carrying the Word of God, of being a witness for JESUS.
Amy Carmichael did not faint
despite her physical ailment. Why? She knew she had received this ministry. Do
you/I know that you/I have received the ministry of a witness, of carrying
JESUS and His GOSPEL everywhere?
Lord
cause me to know that my ministry is to be Your carrier- Your life &
Gospel.
ü Lord be my vision.
Give me a clear understanding of Your Gospel so I can also experience the
miraculous power it releases for salvation, so I can persuade all.
You cannot persuade men if you
don't know the power that the Gospel wields.
ü V8-12.
Amy, a sickly 27 yr old young woman, served God selflessly for another 56 yrs,
defied the weakness of her body, rescued many children from slavery and death.
Let
me
subdue every circumstance of my life to the obedience of Christ.
Let
death work in me so that life may be pushed out to many others.
Make
me
a living sacrifice, with heaven approved results.
ü V17-18.
Amy defied even the evil authority of the hindu temple despite threats.
Help
me
see the invisible glory that lies ahead so I can defy my "light"
afflictions.
Remove
my
gaze from temporal effemerals and place it on eternal things.
Lord be my
vision and make me Your witness. Amen
